Spring 2015 Eco Fashion Week -Fifth Dimension LA

Eco Fashion IS the use of sustainable, up-cycled, Organic, Vegan, bamboo, cork, renewing, refreshing, and reusable materials. The overall goal of Eco fashion is to do the least harm to the environment and to help people do and live better. ~ME

The birds are chirping, the tulips are blooming, the bees are buzzing, and more importantly Spring 2015 Eco Fashion Week has finally arrived! I decided to do Eco fashion week here on Spunky Real Deals, because I want everyone to see that hippie dippie Eco fashion is taking a back seat to more refined and luxurious Eco fashion. Modern Eco fashion has arrived! It is my pleasure to introduce Sustainably Chic as my blogger Co-Host and to introduce our first Eco designer: Carla Teran of Fifth Dimension clothing in LA. Fifth Dimension clothing is clearly yogi inspired with relaxed LA vibes! Carla utilizes Organic, bamboo, and up-cycled materials for her designs. The design featured here is the crepe silk scarf cardi composed of up-cycled bamboo fleece(63% hemp and 37% crepe silk). It is incredible that a cardigan so luxurious can also be so cozy, but it is.

The crepe silk scarf cardi is perfect for breezy Spring days and cool Summer nights. The built in crepe scarf adds an upscale look and feel. This bamboo cardi is built to last! It really feels like a well tailored jacket. My favorite part is the tuxedo-like tail in the back! You can dress it up with white slacks or dress it down with your favorite yogi pants. I, however, would not take this lovely cardigan into the yoga studio. This cardi belongs among an upscale scenery, perhaps a scenic local winery.

The Eco jewelry seen this week is from the talented Amy Jennings at Callirrhoe Jewellery! 100% Vegan jewelry with incredible design and texture. Some of my favorite pieces involve her use of driftwood! Even her ring bands are unique with most pieces utilizing a silver and copper metal fusion. Pictured above, you see a black Shiva Lingam statement ring with sterling silver band. The Shiva Lingam stone is often used for balancing masculine and feminine energies.
